CARV 2 · Precision Meets Passion
Our ski school is equipped with CARV 2, the cutting-edge ski tracking system that measures your performance on every single turn.
Two sensors placed on your ski boots record advanced data as you ski, while your instructor uses a dedicated app to interpret the results and guide you with millimetric precision, offering targeted exercises for maximum improvement.
CARV 2 doesn’t replace the instructor’s expert eye — it enhances it.
It displays your progress in real time, adapting to slope angle and snow conditions.
Each session becomes a motivating challenge, complete with scores and global rankings that inspire you to push your limits.
The result: a fully personalized technical progression for those who demand the best from their time on snow.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The CARV 2 sensors are available with our Premium Private lessons (minimum duration 2 hours). Availability is limited, please contact us to reserve the sensors in advance
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
With your instructor’s guidance and the support of sensor-based feedback, your progress becomes measurable and crystal clear.
- Beginners: For skiers still using the snowplow technique, we focus on balance and speed control, introducing exercises that help transition toward parallel turns
- Intermediate: For skiers already comfortable on parallel skis, the goal is to progress toward carving, improving edge control and managing speed on gradually steeper terrain.
- Advanced: For those who already carve with confidence, we refine your technique for greater precision and mastery on all slopes.
You’ll be able to track progress by turn type (short or long radius) and even climb the global leaderboard for your best series of turns.
The sensors also support Freeride and variable-terrain training, helping to fine-tune performance off groomed slopes.
WHAT DO THE SENSORS MEASURE?
GENERAL METRICS
- Speed: Learn to control and manage it to your advantage
- Turn Radius: Essential for understanding the width of your turns.
- Average Slope Gradient: To gauge the level of difficulty you’ve tackled
- Snow Type: Automatically detects whether the surface is groomed, choppy, bumpy, or fresh powder.
- Distance Covered: Both per segment and for the full session, allowing you to retrace your ski day.
TURN-SPECIFIC METRICS
- Early Forward Movement: The ability to maintain balance throughout the turn.
- Centered Balance: The ability to maintain balance throughout the turn.
- Parallel Skis: Degree of ski parallelism and presence of any divergence or convergence.
- Turn Shape: How open or closed the turn is (more or less C-shaped turns).
- Edge Angle: The inclination of your skis relative to the snow.
- Early Edging: Quickness of edge transition between turns.
- Edging Similarity: How closely the inner and outer skis match in edge angle.
- Progressive Edge Build: How progressively you increase edge angle throughout the turn.
- Turn G-force: The G-force recorded at the apex of the turn.
- Weight Release: Vertical movement and weight transfer between turns.
